So with the news of the nationwide blitz where ICE agents are entering courthouses to arrest immigrants and undermine due process now as we've seen in The Bronx, what long term strategy is Moya pursuing to secure the resources that will be needed in the years ahead to shore up and expand capacity?
Manuel Castro
3:11:15
A lot of our work is focused on our interagency coordination, working across agencies and offices so that we're in close coordination and communications.
3:11:30
For instance, we understand that our school system is concerned about this weekend's incident, and one of our providers, as was reported in the news, stepped in to support the individual and the family.
3:11:47
We'll be working closely with the public school system and other agencies in in in such a way so that we can understand the needs on the ground in the community as they occur.
Alexa Avilés

So, commissioner, we saw just last week many, many ICE agents in the courts.
3:12:07
What what has Moya done in response to this?
Manuel Castro
3:12:13
Again, it's essential for our immigrant communities to be well informed of Oh.
3:12:19
Of their rights and of the available services available to them, which is why we've doubled down on our communications efforts.
3:12:30
And wherever possible, we are communicating directly to them about about these rights and services that they should know of as
Alexa Avilés
3:12:41
Has Moya gone to the courts to offer that service or direction to people who quite literally are being detained when they think they're getting a check-in or going for any other court issue?
Manuel Castro
3:12:53
Not the courts.
3:12:54
No.
Justin Brannan
3:12:54
Yeah.
Alexa Avilés
3:12:56
Okay.
3:12:58
I'd like to acknowledge we've been joined by council member Hudson and Joseph.
3:13:03
Sorry.
3:13:04
Thank you.
