Thank you very much.
1:12:11
Olivia Stone is an intern in our office from Washington University.
1:12:14
We'll probably have another hundred interns during the summer, but I wanna thank Olivia for being here.
1:12:20
I too wanna say how much we're gonna miss congressman Rangel.
1:12:23
He was incredibly good to me for the last forty years.
1:12:26
And also, I wanna express condolences to the family of Tom Robbins, a reporter, an investigative reporter for many years, and he passed last night.
1:12:37
I wanna mention Reso number eight eight two.
1:12:40
It is a resolution that talks about Cuba.
1:12:43
You probably know in '62, Kennedy issued a proclamation on the trade embargo.
1:12:49
And then Obama opened up Cuba in '21, and of course Trump closed it.
1:12:55
The Biden administration kept it going after it was closed by Trump first time around.
1:13:01
Biden opened it up a week before he left office.
1:13:04
And of course, on January 20, Trump, reinstated the, trade embargo.
1:13:09
I mention all this because the only other countries that have this trade embargo are Syria, Iran, and North Korea.
1:13:16
And it seems to me that, the work that we are doing in this country would fit well with Cuba, and I would like to say that it should not be a state sponsor of terrorism.
1:13:27
And on that list were those other three countries that I mentioned.
1:13:31
Thank you very much.
