would just echo what so many

of my fellow commissioners said that clearly the challenge of housing is a challenge that touches every part of our city and everyone who lives here.
0:25:18
And I spend my days and my time thinking about how we ensure that New York City's economy, continues to be at the forefront, continues, to be part of a vibrant, a vibrant economy that is creating jobs for all of New Yorkers.
0:25:35
But if people can't afford to live here, then that is impossible.
0:25:40
So it is crucial for the future of this city, for the future of our workforce, for the future of of so many for Lizette's family and, Grace, your family and the people who grew up here, but also the people we want to attract here and the people we want to remain here because New York City is is the best city is the best city in the world.
0:26:00
And it is incredibly important that we make sure that people have access to that.
0:26:04
And I am just really excited to get to work on this really meaty problem.
0:26:09
We are not only so lucky to be working against the backdrop of City Of Yes, but there's a real moment, I would say, even beyond New York across the country around housing policy.
0:26:19
There's real energy behind tackling this this messy problem, and I'm really excited to have that wind at our back as we dig in.
0:26:28
Thank you.
