Hi.
0:32:12
Thanks for your testimony.
0:32:14
I'm curious if there's an example that you could refer to as a model that we can learn from where we've really seen this kind of community district and community boards planning their budgets and having it reinforced that that we could say, yeah, a little bit more of that.
Barika Williams
0:32:32
Yes.
0:32:33
I can get back to you with specific places.
0:32:35
A number of other major, metropolitan areas across the country actually have some form of comprehensive planning.
0:32:43
In fact, it's not apples to oranges, but for example, our neighbors just on the other side of the river in New Jersey, have a version where you have to you are required to fulfill your fair housing numbers and targets and is mandated.
0:32:57
Likewise, there's a somewhat similar framework, in Maryland.
0:33:02
So we we know that there are examples.
0:33:04
New York's complicated.
0:33:06
So it's a little different to take somebody's else's exact amp example and drop it here.
0:33:11
Right?
0:33:11
Not everybody has our community district framework that's optional.
0:33:16
So yeah.
Dr. Lisette Nieves
0:33:17
And and for me, it's even not so much the example.
0:33:19
I mean, I do know other states that are doing some interesting things.
0:33:23
The question is in process.
0:33:24
In process.
0:33:25
Much of your recommendations about process.
0:33:27
Yes.
Leila Bozorg
0:33:27
Right?
0:33:28
Yep.
Dr. Lisette Nieves
0:33:28
Are there other processes even outside of housing that you see could map on Okay.
0:33:33
To this that offers the accountability and other pieces that we think are important, particularly, like I said, the reinforcing the planning and supporting of community boards in that planning.
Barika Williams
0:33:43
Absolutely.
0:33:44
We'll get back to you.
0:33:44
Okay.
0:33:45
Thank you.
