Ken, a member of the public, testifies in strong support of streamlining the housing approval process to fast-track development in all neighborhoods.
He suggests using a 'Builder's Remedy' approach to counteract member deference used to block housing.
He also recommends making the Landmarks Preservation Commission's role advisory, not a veto, in housing matters, or requiring them to consider housing needs, citing the South Street Seaport project as an example where he believes aesthetics overshadowed housing needs.

Daughter's Remedy is probably a great tool for balancing the member defense issue, where potentially we could implement a mechanism where council members who are using a member of defense as a a blockage to your housing, to kinda give them the stick that Builders' Remy could provide.

I would also recommend, and support that the you think about Landmark's Preservation Committee to be advisory in nature, as opposed to being a widow, when it comes to housing matters.
3:32:50
If not, then they must consider housing matters in the consider consideration of of their decision making process.

I do recall South Seaport being an example of where pretty petty aesthetic considerations for for being overrated, too much emphasis on petty aesthetics over the real need for housing in the city.

Yeah.
3:33:27
And, I would see the rest of my time, and, but just generally use fast track housing when you really need it.
