Nicole Campo, in response to a question about specific reforms for the city map, reiterates the need to centralize the official city map, ideally in a digital, accessible format.

She suggests that all existing paper maps should be found and digitized to create a complete and legally defensible official map.

  • Campo also advocates for a dedicated group of technically aware individuals from different city agencies to regularly convene and negotiate street issues, preventing project delays caused by inter-agency disagreements.

Oh, that's what I'm

You said what am I looking to reform?
1:18:20
I I think that we need to move to a more central location for the city map and that the keepers of the map should no longer be separated into five, but that there should be a centralized keeper and location.
1:18:39
It is twenty twenty five, so arguably it should be digitally accessible.
1:18:45
And whatever maps are not yet digitized should be found and digitized.
1:18:52
And arguably, that should be, you know, kind of researched and there should be, you know, a group of people who have the technical awareness of how these things work.
1:19:01
I do think that there needs to be sort of like a group from different city agencies who regularly come together to negotiate street issues, because I have been involved when I worked for the city in projects where I had to, like, with city halls, help get like six or seven different city agencies in the room to agree on different aspects of how we treat, you know, grade changes or roller coasters over map streets.
1:19:29
I've researched for half a year.
1:19:32
You know, just minutiae that unfortunately comes up often enough that it causes major delays in projects.
