1:33:58
Thank you, Mister Cher, and it's Kelty, k e l t y.
1:34:01
I'm the Cher community board 7.
1:34:03
For over 26 years.
1:34:06
I've been on the board for almost 40 years.
1:34:08
So thank you for letting me testify before the council.
1:34:11
It's it's nice, and I appreciate the Zoom.
1:34:13
Much easier than trying to get downtown.
1:34:15
So I appreciate the council's working with the community on this.
1:34:20
And if there's not Shell, because you don't need to hear repeated information.
1:34:25
This the project has been sitting.
1:34:27
I thought it was at least 8 years, not 6 like Eric talked about, but as you said, we were working it in the past in 12 to 10 years.
1:34:35
We pushed very hard to get the residential component to pull the commercial component out of it.
1:34:42
Anybody knows the area knows that it's gridlocked over there.
1:34:46
For anybody in DOT understands that intersection used to be what they call level f, and you can improve the level f.
1:34:54
And over the course of the years, don't worry.
1:34:56
You'll hear him testify in a second chukapulian.
1:34:59
We've worked with a lot of the engineers in the area in the barrel presence previous engine is to get them to put causeways in over there to help improve the district.
1:35:07
So right now, we got one of the sites that's coming up and could impact us if we go back to a commercial component.
1:35:13
And that's why we push specifically for a residential component and we put the restricted declarations on it, and we hope that that would make it very well in the same specific groups are going with it.
1:35:24
We agree with it.
1:35:26
As I said, there's plenty of development around it.
1:35:29
You're gonna hear it that there's site networks, which is the Stop and Shop.
1:35:33
And, of course, the the broadway is the choice of us.
1:35:36
So I I don't need any more commercial on there.
1:35:39
I need residential.
1:35:40
And we need it so it doesn't impact the area.
1:35:43
And, you know, I know it's kinda tough for a councilwoman.
1:35:47
She's relatively new.
1:35:48
But she's not new to the area.
1:35:50
She's worked in the elected officials' local area, so she knows the area very well, and we're very pleased to work with her.
1:35:56
But she her office has been involved with this.
1:36:00
I I'd like to say the Broward president's office was involved in this But as you see, there's a little gaps where he plays out.
1:36:06
There's a it was needed to be commercial when in fact, we had to bring to his attention.
1:36:10
There's a lot of commercial already there.
1:36:12
So You know, we're looking forward to this thing to move looking forward to move very quickly because it seems like it's being strong walled a little with a lot of stuff.
1:36:23
So we're hoping that it can move to the council for me quickly to to get what we need to help the community and to help the developer.
1:36:30
Thank you very much.
1:36:31
I appreciate it.
Speaker 1
1:36:32
Thank you, Eugene.
