Elisa Nankode, an Ecuadorian immigrant and street vendor, shares her testimony about the hardships she faced working on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Nankode narrates her experience of losing her products to law enforcement over a misunderstanding and pleads for help to continue her work in New York City amidst her struggles for a better life for her and her daughter.

I'm a Quadorian.

I was working in the Brooklyn Bridge, and now I'm suffering because I don't have undocumented.

And I'm here with my daughter, and I was working Selian Braselts.

And I have videos, and I have pictures of me doing that, of me working.

But they took my product away from me, and they gave me a 255.

But there was a map that said that I could sell there.

But the officer said that I had abandoned my spot.

I didn't abandon it.

I was just taking a coffee because it was too cold.

And when I saw the police officer, I went to my spot really quickly, and I tried to explain, but English is not I don't speak English.
