I just wanna say on the matter of employment opportunities in Redhook by the cruise industry, There are pedestrian safety agents that were hired and then replaced by the NYPD.
2:41:43
So when we have ships come in that don't have 56100 passengers.
2:41:47
There's an overstaffing of NYPD, and they're it's not their fault that they're idly on their phones.
2:41:52
There's just not enough traffic to justify it.
2:41:54
So that's the compensation.
2:41:56
But we're paying for it as taxpayers.
2:41:58
And I'll say the number of pedestrian safety agents that are hired are I wanna say 12, but it's under 15.
2:42:05
So that is not job stimulation.
2:42:07
And the work fair that they had didn't even outreach to our local schools and nonprofit organizations that focuses on marginalized black and brown community members in night shift.
2:42:18
We have a community justice center that's innovative.
2:42:20
Red hook is a unique community.
2:42:22
And that's why you haven't seen anything like this happen before because we are not going to take this and we will represent the entire country we have to to have justice around cruise ship impacts.
2:42:34
Thank you.
