So I don't quite know all of the details of the lease agreement.
1:23:09
So what data do we collect or have we in terms of lease agreement implementation on hired workers, MWDE contracts, job opportunities locally, some of those points that you referenced in your testimony.
Speaker 7
1:23:24
Yeah.
1:23:25
Thank you, Terrifica.
1:23:26
So just just to be clear.
1:23:32
So these are long term agreements.
1:23:33
Mhmm.
1:23:34
So they're not lease lease agreements.
1:23:36
What they are What they are are an opportunity for and the reason we feel strongly about them is because it is the mechanism where we can hold cruise lines accountable.
1:23:48
Most ports around the world just allow cruise ships to dock and and keep moving.
1:23:55
What we're doing is creating meaningful and documented partnerships with these businesses in order to hold them accountable.
1:24:05
What we've built into these long term agreements is first of its kind in many, many ways.
1:24:10
So there are a few points that are in there, and the way and and there is a tracking mechanism, and those incentive fees are the the way that we are able to ensure that they are meeting those needs and that they are guaranteed those days, which they have they they are very keen on making sure that they're able to have Okay.
Speaker 1
1:24:34
So how do we know the percentage of MWBE contracts from the cruise lines, for example?
Speaker 7
1:24:40
So the reporting requirements are built in.
1:24:42
To the long term agreements.
1:24:44
I don't know if Michael, if you want to elaborate.
1:24:47
So there's annual reporting that'll be done on local provisioning.
1:24:51
So there's a few categories.
1:24:52
There's local provisioning ensuring that New York vendors are supplying food flowers.
1:24:59
Other services to the site.
1:25:01
There's workforce development and local educational partnerships that need to be built planned for and executed on that they need to report out on an annual basis.
1:25:11
There is the emissions reduction both ensuring that they meet an exceed EPA standards, but that they are connecting to shore power as a requirement.
1:25:20
And then there is the community fund which is truly innovative and which is a dollar per passenger of every guest that comes through our terminals.
1:25:31
That will go into a restricted fund specifically for the communities where the terminals are housed.
Speaker 1
1:25:37
Okay.
