3 min

Christopher Leon Johnson addresses the council, expressing skepticism about the involvement of specific organizations like Transportation Alternatives in the transportation plan proposed in the legislation. He criticizes the NYC Economic Development Corporation's (NYCEDC) influence and calls for accountability, urging the council to exclude certain groups from contributing to the bill due to perceived conflicts of interest.

3:01:09
My name is Christopher Leon Johnson.
3:01:11
Thank you for chair Fabillas.
3:01:15
I think you should be the chair for economic I mean, for I'm not Sorry about that.
3:01:19
Economic mean environmental because where is James Gennaro?
3:01:22
Where is he at?
3:01:24
He could have jumped on the virtual panel.
3:01:26
If he could travel away from Queen's to here, he should have jumped on the virtual panel.
3:01:29
So he should be reprimanded for that.
3:01:32
He should be subpoenaed to come and because this is this is he should be part of it because this is part of the by environment.
3:01:39
This bill is part by environment.
3:01:41
And where it is open book powers, she didn't come either.
3:01:43
This is about transportation, and a little part of finance works fester.
3:01:47
I don't know where Fester at, but that's a different story.
3:01:49
But I wanna make this clear.
3:01:51
Right?
3:01:53
There's a transportation plan within this bill about mitigation and transportation.
3:01:59
Now this is my statement about this.
3:02:03
I am down with traffic mitigation.
3:02:05
We have to find way to get more people that's not related to the the cruise industry.
3:02:10
To be around that area, but we have to make sure that there's nonprofit that's called transportation alternatives doesn't have a say in this situation in this in this bill because transportation alternatives work with the Economic Development Corporation NYCEDC.
3:02:28
Transportation Alternatives is controlled opposition.
3:02:30
Transportation Alternatives is they take money from these developers.
3:02:35
And so you gotta stand if if they be part of this situation, they're gonna try to get credit and do whatever they gotta do to protect the NYC EDC.
3:02:45
The NYC EDC should've be protected in this stuff because they are the reason this is happening.
3:02:50
There's another organization that's called open plans that should be out this this situation because they are part of transportation alternatives and Streetblock NYC.
3:03:00
They shouldn't be part of this either.
3:03:01
Now I just heard from this guy named Eric McClure, who who runs Street Pack.
3:03:06
But people gotta say about tree pack.
3:03:08
Tree pack is the is the electoral arm for transportation alternatives and a number you elected officials, y'all want that straight back endorsement.
3:03:18
So y'all gonna say no.
3:03:19
You're gonna let this guy and his people like Kathy Park Price, who the who the lobbyist who's a toxic lobbyist of Brooklyn, who need to be, who shouldn't be in this situation.
3:03:29
No.
3:03:29
But we all know this gonna with with her, a lot of people scared of her because they got Kevin La Cherr, who is a several times stalker, and he you know, and we don't know what's going on with this stuff.
3:03:39
Now, with this trepitation plant, it's good to have it.
3:03:42
Like I said, with that, but you you gotta get transportation turned out in the situation because they're not doing a lobbyist.
3:03:47
All they are are not about lobbyists, lobbyists, lobbyists, all of them.
3:03:51
Cathy Park Price, Kevin LaCera, Danny Harris, Lauren Shepherd, Eric Maglure, who's part of Transportation Alternatives.
3:03:58
He should've disclosed that to you guys here that he's a member of Transportation Alternatives.
3:04:02
And what they want is to make sure that whatever happens with the Transportation Plan, that the NYC EDC will never get thrown to the wolves with this stuff, and they be protected when this if when this bill go through.
3:04:15
But we have to throw the NYC EDC through the wolves and make them responsible for everything they do because they they're the reason that the city is going the way it is.
3:04:24
So that's all I gotta say.
Speaker 1
3:04:26
Thank you so much for your testimony.
