But It's a good project.

The gentleman who's a neighborhood person who grew up in South Williamsburg, who owns the site, put $6,000,000 into remediation of this site before there was any promise of a rezoning or new development.

That was a real contribution to cleaning up our community that I deeply value.

And as a result, I'm very happy to support this rezoning, and I'm proud that District 33 has generated more new units of housing than any other district in the city of New York over the last 15 years.
