Very proud of the many bills before this committee today, including my bill.

Operation, Green, and YC.

My bill will help create better communities for all New Yorkers by improving our street medians, many which are made up of nothing but concrete and pavement.
0:20:27
It'll require us street median as we turn it to green.
0:20:30
3 miles per barrel, per year.
0:20:33
Street media has to be converted into green.
0:20:35
The greenery will bring millions of benefits to our communities.
0:20:38
It will not only beautify our communities, making them more attractive, including other neighborhoods that we live in, but also our small business corridors.
0:20:46
It'll also help clean our air.
0:20:49
It'll also help reduce noise pollution.
0:20:51
The beautiful green will also even help with mental health.
0:20:56
And, of course, even more than that, it'll also help on the issues related to flooding and other environmental threats that we continue to face.
0:21:04
So many benefits.
0:21:06
We need to be creative.
0:21:07
We have many mediums in our communities.
0:21:09
They're made up of concrete.
0:21:11
Pavement.
0:21:12
Many are already there.
0:21:14
There's also many new ones coming up.
0:21:16
Why not beautify them with green?
0:21:17
Why instead of just creating nothing about pavement and how creating our communities, why not build a green infrastructure so that we can easily achieve the many benefits that come with that?
0:21:28
Thank you so much.
0:21:29
Look forward to talking about my bill with all of you.
