Council Member Farías asks Bridget Anne Kelly to respond to Randy Mastro's claim that no wrongdoing was found and that his report and the Supreme Court's decision came to the same conclusion. Kelly strongly disagrees with Mastro's assertion.

  • Kelly suggests that Mastro doesn't know exactly what happened because he talked to the wrong people.
  • She expresses disappointment in the government she worked for and the people she worked with.
  • Kelly criticizes the practice of revisionist history in government and expresses her hurt at being cast in a negative light by someone who doesn't know her.

And so thank you for that response.
9:11:59
You answered a couple of the questions.
9:12:01
Sorry.
9:12:01
Was it no.
9:12:02
No.
9:12:02
No.
9:12:02
No.
9:12:02
You know, I I appreciate you just being open.
9:12:05
The the last question I have, Mister Mashrou claimed no one had been found to do any wrongdoing and that his report in the Supreme Court's decision came to the same conclusion.
9:12:16
Would you like to respond to that?
Bridget Anne Kelly
9:12:18
I mean, I'm sure that the taxpayers of the state of New Jersey would have, like, Mister Mastro to be the, you know, the arbiter of all the truths in the world.
9:12:25
But, you know, and for 7 years, I had to fight this battle.
9:12:30
I don't know that Mister Master knows exactly what happened because I think he talked to the wrong people.
9:12:35
Mister Master did ask to interview me, and that would be, like, you know, probably one of the stupider things I would ever do because he was hired by the exact man by whom I worked for, and it came to light during the trial many times who knew what and when.
9:12:50
So I find it unfortunate, and somebody I think the woman who was sitting here before talked about revisionist history.
9:12:58
We have a lot of people, unfortunately, in government that do that.
9:13:00
And it's unfortunate, it's sad, and I'm just disappointed.
9:13:05
My dad always says to me, it's worse to be disappointed than mad, and I to be disappointed by the by the government for whom I worked and then the people with whom I worked and then furthermore by somebody who doesn't even know me and then to cast me in that light, it hurts.
Amanda Farías
9:13:21
Thank you for your response.
9:13:23
Thank you.
