New ACC facilities and renovations across NYC

ACC is expanding and improving its facilities across New York City to better serve animals and the community.
- The Paul Avolon Queens Animal Care Center has officially opened, featuring modern facilities and advanced medical equipment
- Construction has begun on a new animal care center in the Bronx
- A new adoption center is opening next to the Manhattan Care Center
- The Brooklyn Animal Care Center is undergoing complete renovation
- Once construction is complete, there will be a full-service animal shelter in every borough of NYC

Earlier this week, we officially opened the Paul Avolon Queen's Animal Care Center.

This large and modern facility provides an abundance of natural light throughout the building, a state of the art medical suite with sophisticated and modern medical equipment like an X-ray machine and a separate suite for dental work.

In May of 2023, the city also broke ground on a brand new animal care center in the Bronx.

Like Queens, this shelter will be the very first of its kind in the borough.

Soon, the city will also cut the ribbon on a new adoption center next to the Manhattan Care Center.

And finally, the Brooklyn Animal Care Center is undergoing complete renovation The upgrades are part of the administrations and ACC's mutual commitment to providing the best possible environment for the animals in our care and enhancing the services we offer to the community.

Once construction on all these new and innovative buildings are complete, the council on New York City will have fulfilled the late Polyvolone's commitment and promise to New Yorkers, a full service animal shelter in every borough.
