Hi.
7:30:02
Thank you, miss Johlman, and council members for making today possible.
7:30:06
And thank you to my council member, Oswald Feliz, for being here.
7:30:11
My name is Theresa Noto, and I I'm a cofounder of Bronx Hills cat Rescue.
7:30:15
And like many others here, I'm an overwhelmed and exhausted rescuer.
7:30:20
Here are just a few circumstances that I'm currently working on.
7:30:24
A rescue cat with an injured leg.
7:30:26
I was told that he was tossed out of a window.
7:30:30
A seventy year old woman who cannot care for her 25 plus unaltered cats.
7:30:36
There's no room at the ACC, and we don't have any good options for her.
7:30:40
An abandoned adult male cat who was severely emaciated when we found him, and he weighs now about £5, he should weigh 10.
7:30:51
And I could continue.
7:30:53
I live and work in the Bronx as a speech pathologist.
7:30:56
My heart is for Bronx residents, Bronx children, and Bronx animals.
7:31:02
My neighbors cannot afford space hooters services, so their pets reproduce over and over.
7:31:07
They give away kittens and puppies because it's too costly to care for them.
7:31:12
Those pets reproduce, and many are discarded like trash, and the cycle of abandonment, and cruelty continues.
7:31:20
I volunteer my time and resources.
7:31:22
It's not enough.
7:31:23
So low cost bay nooder programs for our community will result in fewer homeless pets, healthier shelter animals, direct support for our residents, and improve relations with our community leaders.
7:31:37
So please help our communities provide low cost, high volume, Spay Nuder in the Bronx, and New York City.
7:31:45
The greatest city in the world should have the greatest part for its people and animals.
7:31:50
Thank you.
