And then wanted to talk a little bit about school buses.
1:13:04
I'm really pleased that you referenced nice bus.
1:13:06
They have a big depot in the 33rd Council district.
1:13:09
I think that they are a tremendous new nonprofit organization that frankly should be taking over every single school bus contract in the city of New York.
1:13:17
We would be have a more reliable system with the office of people transportation if NICE Bus had every single contract.
1:13:24
And they're doing a great job with students with disabilities, and they're electrifying the fleet.
1:13:28
I just went out and visited 1 of the new electrical buses the 1st week of school, I'm all about it.
1:13:35
And I think it's not unreasonable for us to say we don't want kids on a bus if the temperature's cold or the temperature's hot, that's a dangerous it can be a dangerous condition, especially if students with disabilities and other folks who have other challenges.
1:13:50
Could we limit the violations to only when students are on a bus?
1:13:54
We don't want school bus drivers.
1:13:56
Keeping the engine running when there aren't students.
1:14:01
Right?
1:14:01
And so is that something that could be considered or have you considered that in as DP approaches this as
James F. Gennaro
1:14:09
well?
1:14:09
Yeah.
1:14:10
I'll I'll I'll just mention that that's, like, that's in the bill.
1:14:13
Like, that
Lincoln Restler
1:14:13
is there.
1:14:13
Okay.
1:14:14
I misunderstood.
James F. Gennaro
1:14:14
If there's no students, then, you know, then then, yeah, it only kicks in with this student.
Lincoln Restler
1:14:18
Thank you for clarifying chair.
1:14:20
I apologize for missing that.
