Council Member Stevens inquires about Intro 56, which would require ACS to survey foster youth about their LGBTQ+ and racial identities and report annually on the responses. Commissioner Dannhauser responds to the proposal.
- ACS does not foresee complications in collecting this data
- The agency has been surveying youth on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGY) since 2021
- ACS is open to dialogue about which questions would best address the Council's interests
- The agency aims to maintain some consistent questions to track progress over time

The next one is intro 56.

We'll require ACS's survey, foster youth as their LGBTQ and racial identities and report Emily on such responses as they relate to placement of foster youth and to permanent homes as the agency foresee any complications while collecting this data.

No.
1:29:10
We we are currently surveying.
1:29:12
We added SOGY questions last year, 2021.
1:29:17
And so, you know, the one thing I would say is whenever we're surveying, we wanna have some questions that are consistent so we can see progress or lack thereof.
1:29:27
But we're open to having dialogue with a couple of questions best to answer what the council's interested in.
