Over the weekend, our city lost a dedicated public servant to a workplace accident.

Richard Erika was a 19 year veteran sanitation worker based in Northeast Queens.

And his contributions to our city will never be forgotten.

Earlier this month, we lost fifty six year old vendor Leslie Sanchez in the Bronx and twenty six year old spa workers remake Tang in Queen's to workplace violence.

And we also mourn the loss of a seventy one year old resident who died in a fatal fire in council member Lewis' district on Friday.

Our hearts go out to their families, colleagues, and loved ones as they work to heal from these tragedies.
