Hello.
14:13:49
Can you hear me?
Kevin C. Riley
14:13:50
Yes.
14:13:51
We hear you.
David Gordon
14:13:52
Okay.
14:13:52
Thank you so much.
14:13:53
I just wanna reiterate my support for the city of yes zoning proposal.
14:13:58
This is the biggest proposal for up zoning and zoning for new housing in at least half a century.
14:14:07
This will be incredible for young people like myself who, though I am lucky enough to live in New York City now, I don't know if I'll be able to live in New York City forever given the high cost of rent.
14:14:18
I especially wanna bring attention like the previous speaker to eliminating parking minimums.
14:14:24
We know from research and from just looking around our already congested city that cars are one of the biggest things that are in the way of housing.
14:14:32
And it's a shame that for the city with the best transit system in America and one of the best transit systems in the world that we still mandate the departments have housing.
14:14:42
Thank you so much for this testimony.
14:14:44
I very much encourage my council member and all of the council members of this committee and in the city council to vote yes on city of yes.
14:14:52
This is the most important vote they will take this year.
14:14:55
Thank you so much.
