And in those instances where there is a conflict between at the school level between the school leadership and the CBO that gets escalated to both New York City public schools and DUI's city, right, and making sure that we're tapping into the district and the superintendents to address these issues.
0:51:32
Because part of the entire process is that orientation happens, that the collaborative planning happens, where it includes how we're engaged human families, the families that are hearts reach, and getting those contact information, and following up to this entire process leading into the start of the program.
0:51:49
In that instance, for that school, it's a really unfortunate opportunity that we weren't able to capture that and resolve that quickly.
0:51:55
But there as an entire escalation plan to make sure that those partnership situations wouldn't happen in the first place.

So what is the escalation with the the principal who wouldn't allow them to do their job and what refused to meet with parents, which I think by the way, is crazy.
0:52:09
So let's just go there.
0:52:11
Parentable saying they're not even with parents.
0:52:13
That that is not okay with me.
0:52:15
And we're fused to me with the the the parents.
0:52:17
So this is not a deal I see any questions, so I'm not acting on answering.
0:52:21
I'm asking the DOE to answer this because that is a problem for me.
Rita C. Joseph
0:52:23
But it can't see if it's a collaboration.
0:52:26
Right?
0:52:26
And then that's one of the things we just we always talk about.
0:52:29
Agencies refuse to talk to each other.
0:52:31
If this is a collaboration and a partnership, the dialogue has to start early You have to work hand in hand in order for it to work.
0:52:38
Right?
0:52:39
If if the end goal is to deliver a programming for child, especially the ones that are mandated, you have to work hand in hand.
0:52:46
And I think principals, superintendents have to be in a conversation.
0:52:49
CSA has to be in this conversation.
0:52:51
To make sure your principles are doing what they're supposed to be doing.
0:52:53
And that's not the first time I'm hearing complaints.
0:52:56
So I'm I'm gonna call that all stakeholders, get together and figure this out in 2025 because I don't wanna be here next year having another hearing.
0:53:04
On how this is I wanna hear improvements, and I wanna hear the amazing things that are happening on the ground.
Althea V. Stevens
0:53:10
I wanna go back to camp.
Rita C. Joseph
0:53:11
And she just wanna go back to camp.
0:53:14
So you have city public schools.
Angela Faloye
0:53:17
Thank you for that.
0:53:20
As Daniel mentioned, we had we work well and hand in hand.
0:53:25
We have meetings every week, especially during summarizing.
0:53:30
And those meetings are especially to tackle escalation.
0:53:34
If something had like this had been escalated through the YCD to me, immediately, I would have met met with the division of school leadership.
0:53:44
To address the matter.
0:53:46
We would go through the superintendent's team to immediately reach out to the principal.
0:53:51
We take parent communication, parent engagement very seriously.
0:53:57
So, again, Once match ups like this were escalated through the YCD to me, immediately I reached out to their appropriate stakeholders to swiftly resolve, and we will continue to do this in subsequent summer.
