Everything that you mentioned, that's what we want to get to the bottom of.
2:50:42
We want to find out why is it staffing?
2:50:43
Is it that they don't have the right amount of vehicles?
2:50:46
Is it that they don't have trained personnel that are close enough?
2:50:50
To be 24 Blocks away or 66 Blocks away is just ridiculous.
2:50:55
You could never save a life if you're that far away.
2:50:58
And, yes, we understand that there was a big fire, but but we do have to This is why we're always fighting for the 5th firefighter so that areas in the gap don't aren't left alone and always have emergency services available.
2:51:14
So again, Mister Weaver, I thank you so much coming on, your testimony will be read in its entirety by this committee staff.
2:51:22

2:51:31

Tyler Weaver
2:51:33
Yes.
2:51:34
Yes.
2:51:34
Thank you.
2:51:34
And and and I could say, you know, as a former EMT, the the issue is insufficient number of ambulance ships being staffed.
2:51:45
Everything else you're hearing is When I was the NT 35 years ago, we were talking about how people misuse the system and call for stuff that had that they don't really need to call for.
2:51:58
That's been going on for 35 years.
2:52:00
You know, I I I I wish the department luck in solving that issue so that they don't have to get more ambulances.
2:52:07
But I don't think that my opinion, it's not realistic.
2:52:11
It's it they need more ambulances.
2:52:14
And yeah.
2:52:16
And if anyone has any questions, you know, feel free to reach out to me.
2:52:21
I I I am ready to be an advocate for this not to happen to other families as well.
2:52:29
Thank you again.
Joann Ariola
2:52:30
Thank you so much.
2:52:31
And and just rest assured that we do have a new commissioner now, Robert Tucker, who is looking into all of these different issues with response time, and he is willing to put in the work to make sure that it's alleviated.
2:52:44
So thank you.
