Council Member Carmen De La Rosa inquires about the procurement process for consulting contracts. Katrina Porter from DCAS responds, indicating limited knowledge on the subject.

  • De La Rosa asks if consulting contracts follow the same procurement process as other city contracts
  • Porter explains that consulting processes are managed by a different line of service within DCAS
  • De La Rosa requests more information on consulting contracts to be provided to the committee later

Do consulting contracts go through the same procurement process as contracts for other goods and services, on behalf of the city?
Katrina Porter

1:47:23
Is there any way that you can get back to the committee with information on consulting contracts and what that looks like?
1:47:29
I'm I mean, one of the things that we're concerned about as a committee is how work is being contracted out and how that's impacting the ability to hire workers because we're spending money on outsourcing work rather than investing in the workforce.
