Council Member Kevin Riley provides an overview of the Port Authority Bus Terminal replacement project and the related land use items up for vote. He explains the necessity of the project and the actions required to move forward.

  • The existing terminal is described as unwelcoming, overcapacity, and increasingly obsolete
  • The project requires a complicated, multi-phase, multi-year process
  • Three actions are proposed: demapping certain streets, a zoning text amendment, and a special permit application
  • Approval of these actions will allow the redesign to start without delay
