As many of you know, more than 2 years ago, this committee held an oversight hearing on June 30, 2022 entitled examining antisemitism on college campuses.

Since that time, CUNY schools have been in the news more than once for allegations and demonstrations related to antisemitism and discrimination, especially since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel.

The committee looks forward to learning about CUNY's plans for implementing judge Lippmann's recommendations and for making CUNY campuses safe and welcoming for all of our students.
