I wanna commend speaker Adams for her leadership, in bringing city for all and working with our colleagues to to bring this to a vote today, as well as commend my colleagues, chairs, Sanchez Salamanca, and Riley, and the land use staff here, for bringing City For All forward.

This proposal, City For All, as modified by the council, reflects 3 fundamental principles.
1:35:46
1, that the housing crisis we face is the most urgent crisis in the city because it connects to every other crisis around us.
1:35:53
And it's important to address it thoughtfully, deliberately, and with the focus on affordability, which this plan does.
1:35:59
2, that in addressing the housing crisis, it's not enough just to create more housing, but to protect people in their homes.
1:36:06
That's exactly what the funding for the anti harassment tenant protection program does.
1:36:10
And as a legal services lawyer that worked as one of the legal services lawyers that worked with city government to create this program 9 years ago, I know personally how important it is to keep tenants in their homes through this program and how it works to fight displacement.
1:36:24
And 3, that in the efforts to address the housing crisis, we must not create the false conflict between housing and green space.
1:36:33
And as the parks chair, I see clearly how this city for all proposal does exactly that, building housing, focusing on affordability, but not fostering a false conflict between that and green space.
1:36:46
That's why I'll be voting for it.
1:36:47
With that, I vote I on all.
1:36:49
Thank you.
