Council Member Chris Banks inquires about NYCHA's approach to handling developments that transition to private management during ongoing upgrades or resiliency work. NYCHA representative Gillian Connell explains the division of responsibilities between NYCHA and private management.

  • After closing, the property manager and PACT partners are primarily responsible for the development
  • NYCHA maintains an oversight role in various areas
  • Additional resiliency initiatives can occur after initial construction, such as the $50 million project at Hope Gardens/Bushwick Gardens to elevate boilers
