I I certainly second what the chair said.
3:08:11
One minute.
3:08:14
You're like a rock star.
3:08:15
Just wanted to know.
3:08:17
So, you're more important than celebrities.
3:08:20
But I just wanna ask, do you get a sense that at your school, there is training on what to do if, ICE is there, police and then what what kind of training do the teachers or the students get along these lines, if any?
Dhaliem
3:08:37
We don't have any training yet because, so many people increase their police in our skills, so schools.
3:08:46
So we don't feel that safety.
3:08:49
But, we do have teachers that are informed and teach us, a little things to, like, make safe ourselves.
3:09:01
If I can explain in English in Spanish.
3:09:03
I'm sorry.
Kulsoom Tapal
3:09:29
And and a lot of teachers are showing us restorative justice practices.
Dhaliem (via Spanish Interpreter)
3:09:33
Yes, sister.
3:09:34
That's correct.
3:09:35
She's correct.
3:09:44
There are many programs that like Made the Road that they are teaching us these things.
3:09:47
Mhmm.
3:10:11
Yeah.
3:10:11
They teach us what to do and how to act.
3:10:13
So they will not do, do basically like a a false arrest or they will try to do something wrong in those cases.
3:10:34
Okay.
3:10:34
And we believe that we feel bad now all my classmates when all those police officers are supervising us 24 hours a day.
3:10:49
Especially because the our school community and my own school, they're mostly immigrants.
3:10:55
That's the thing.
3:11:01
And we Donald Trump will have the pleasure to separate families, to see this family separation.
3:11:06
He wanted to see those separations.
3:11:18
We're making a great effort to share in the community and to be to be bilingual, completely bilingual, to, you know, to interact with others and to be part of the community.
3:11:28
Mhmm.
Gale A. Brewer
3:11:31
Thank thank you, rock star.
3:11:34
Thank you.
