  • The DOE is working closely with the Office of Student Pathways to ensure students with disabilities are included in career pathways programs
  • Students with IEPs are part of each Office of Student Pathways program
  • The DOE provides coaching support for CTE teachers on how to ensure students with IEPs are successful in their classes
  • In the 2022-2023 school year, 1,637 students with IEPs participated in work-based learning and career readiness programs
  • The number of students with disabilities participating in these programs is increasing each year

Well, thank you so much for all the passion you're bringing to this hearing and and for, you know, asking this question around pathways, and work based learning opportunities.

This is absolutely a priority for deputy chancellor Foti in our division.

And we've been working really closely with our office of student pathways to ensure that students with disabilities are included in our career pathways programs, and and students with IEPs are absolutely a part of each and every one of the of of the office of student pathways programs.

Our offices our divisions work together, to provide coaching support for CTE teachers and providers on how to ensure students with IEPs are successful in their in their classes, in their programs.

And as of school year 23, 22 1,637 students with IEPs participated in work based learning and career readiness programs through the office of student pathways.
