So each I high school student with an IEP, as I mentioned, deserve a transition plan.
3:22:53
Right?
3:22:53
So while these transition plans should provide meaningful steps to prepare students for post graduation, we're gonna be able to get a transition plan.
3:22:55
Right?
3:22:55
So So while these transition plans should provide meaningful steps to prepare students for post secondary life, we often hear from families that these plans are vague and they're not individualized, and they do not include steps.
3:23:07
So families come to you to also kinda guide them, give them a a road map.

As we work with district 75, again, we're this is week 1, and we're excited to to be, in this position to have d 75 in the Dial family.
3:23:22
This is an area of focus.
3:23:23
John mentioned that we have a new, position dedicated to this work on behalf of Dial.
3:23:30
Couldn't agree more.
3:23:31
I mentioned my brother who is intellectually disabled.
3:23:34
Parents often call call leaving the school system the cliff.
3:23:38
And we definitely do not want that to be the experience.
3:23:40
So we'll be we'll be this is an area that we're gonna be focusing on here.
John Hammer
3:23:44
It's just one specific example of that.
3:23:47
We are working with with our advocacy partners on the development of a 37 bite sized module specific to, to the to the transition process that will be offered through Parent University.
3:24:00
And so that is gonna be that's that's a huge step forward for us in terms of direct family engagement around each part of the transitions, planning process that's gonna be available to families shortly.
Rita Joseph
3:24:09
And something I've said over and over, we have to include families in this educational journey.
