Okay.
0:22:50
Yeah.
0:22:50
That's a that's I did case assistance in them.
0:22:53
It's a lot of cases, and they require a lot of very detailed, you know, specific type of service.

What outreach does HRA undertake to ensure that people are aware of the HASA program and their eligibility?
Jacqueline Dudley
0:23:10
Yes.
0:23:10
Good morning.
0:23:11
The HASA program, has, listings on the public facing Internet that explains what the HASSO program is about.
0:23:22
It also has an FAQ that lists all the, benefits that you may be entitled to and explains how you go about applying.
0:23:31
And, we also have an advisory board that has, members, some appointed by city council, and that we also use to talk about the program and what we offer and and changes and updates in the program.

Are you doing any outreach to social service programs in, you know, different communities to ensure that people that may not have access to the Internet are able to still have access to this information?
Jacqueline Dudley
0:23:57
Yes.
0:23:59
Our service line, which is our our word for intake, is like a public facing, part of the program.
0:24:04
They're located at 400 Eighth Avenue and they and our service line staff particularly our director of service line has an ongoing, linkage to many of our our community based organizations, our hospitals.
0:24:19
We also have linkages quite frankly to, the corrections at the state and local level so that people who are being discharged or released from corrections can, be we can make arrangements to have them, made eligible for HASSA even prior to release.
0:24:35
So if they're being discharged from a hospital or nursing home, we try to make, make sure that they are linked with HASSA prior to discharge.
0:24:43
If they need housing, if they need home care, we try to make those arrangements prior to discharge, from those type of facilities.
0:24:50
So we do try to keep linkages to our community based organizations we meet with on a regular basis and also to hospitals, nursing homes, and other agencies that might be, want to have clients who they want to link with HASA and prior to, the person to be entering the community.

Do you know which is your biggest referral source?
Jacqueline Dudley
0:25:14
I would say at this time, it's probably community based organizations, but also we get a lot from from hospitals, from people who are, you know, have been diagnosed and about to be discharged and maybe they may need housing or home care, and so they connect with us as part of the discharge planning to say, you know, we could get social workers contacting us directly at service line.
