Adrienne Adams

Yeah.

And and I would agree with you, given that this space has been around so long, there are feelings about this space, but certainly, you know, our district wants this to be beautiful.
0:25:03
We want this to enhance the community, And again, we a certain thing about, you know, those of us in Queens and the characteristic of our neighborhoods goes along, so we would want this to fit in as well.
0:25:14
And looking at the rooftop space itself, that's an unusual thing to do in in District 28.
0:25:20
It's unusual to do.
0:25:23
And when I look at looked at it the first time, all I could think is what what if we turn this into because it looks like a private space to me just for the residents, and that's something that we don't wanna do is isolate the community.
0:25:35
We wanna bring the community into a space like this.
0:25:38
So your feelings on maybe making this a green space, some kind of a garden, community garden even, something that the community could enjoy together collaboratively.
0:25:46
What are your thoughts
Kevin Riley
0:25:47
on that?
0:25:47
I
Richard Lobel
0:25:49
think it's a great idea.
0:25:50
I mean we'd have to talk internally just I guess there's liability and other issues with regards to that.
0:25:55
The idea here was to have space where community, where at least the residents of the building would be able to engage in wellness classes.
0:26:03
You can imagine going up there and taking yoga classes and such.
0:26:05
It seems like a really beautiful space.
0:26:07
So I think it's something that we can talk to Sam about and seeing you know whether or not we're able to to solve those issues.
0:26:14
But having said that, is somewhat unique space in that regard and we do, you know, we think it's going to be a great asset.
Adrienne Adams

I'm thinking also with PS two twenty three right next door, what a great thing to do with the children.
Richard Lobel
0:26:26
Sure.
Adrienne Adams
0:26:26
You know, to invite the children over and make it inviting and something quite frankly that I think the community would welcome even more.
