And it's extremely important to me that we are we are, more than compliant in that area.

I'm pleased to say that in the two fourteen days that I've been the fire commissioner, I think we, the department, has made very significant progress not just under me and not just under my predecessor and her predecessors.

We are seeing about a total of 3% women, and this is all rural fire, EMS, and civilian.

Numbers are increasing, not rapidly as we would like them to increase but we'd love to continue partnering with you to see if we could do some outreach within our communities, working with our high schools maybe to let them know how to go about taking the exam as well.
