Council Member Sandy Nurse asks about changes to the Brownsville NCP project resulting from the City of Yes text amendment. Michelle de la Uz explains that the main changes are additional units and increased building height, which also allowed for addressing concerns about affordability depth.
- The increased density enabled the project to include more lower AMI units
- The total number of units increased, improving the project's financial feasibility
- The changes helped address community concerns about affordability

So other than the increase in height and density, are there any other changes that are coming to this project because of City of Yes?

Those are the main things, the additional units and the additional height.

I mean, a result of that, I think we were also able to address some of the concerns that you've expressed and the community board expressed about depth of affordability, basically by increasing the total number of units.

As we looked at the project feasibility financially, we knew that we could take on some lower AMI units when the overall project grew in size.
