In recent years ACS has also substantially reduced the number of families for whom it seeks orders of supervision of family court.

As a result the adopted budget for fiscal year twenty five enabled ACS to shift staffing from the family services unit to our family preservation program.

And FPP child protective staff provide families with intensive short term one on one support to address risk to children without the need for court intervention.

The program is now in every DCP borough office and has seen significant expansion from serving just 63 families in fiscal year twenty four to two forty three families in '25, and we expect much more in the year to come.
