Today, we are voting on two resolutions crucial to defending the rights and voices of public housing residents.

Resolutions, seven thirty and resolution seven thirty one directly addresses the biggest concerns raised by NYCHA residents about the RAD PAC program, concerns that have existed for years now.

As many of you are aware, the RAD PAC program was intended to address the deteriorating conditions in our public housing developments.

However, for far too many residents, it has resulted in rising rents and adequate repairs and in so many cases, serious threats to their safety and stability.

We cannot we cannot allow this to continue.

These resolutions are a direct response to the tireless advocacy of NYCHA residents and tenant organizations who have long fought for greater protections and more transparent and more transparent process.
