The security upgrade project at PSAC 1, with a budget of $4,700,000, is ongoing and no additional capital funding is anticipated currently.

  • The project focuses on exterior security enhancements, including barrier replacement and guard boots installation.
  • Debt capacity constraints limit additional capital funding opportunities.
  • OTI is renegotiating contracts to address new needs within the allocated budget.
  • Similar security enhancements are planned for PSAC 2 with a budget of $1,600,000.

At PSAC 1 phase 2 and EMS computer aided dispatch system enhancement.
1:46:03
What is the is there what is the status update on project completion?
1:47:09
Oh, exterior work.
1:47:11
And do you anticipate needing additional capital funding?
1:47:17
you couldn't get it now if you needed it, but do you anticipate
1:47:22
Very good.
1:47:23
But do you have a sense to
1:47:25
you think you have everything you need?
1:48:03
Okay.
Matthew Fraser
1:45:59
PSAC 1.

The public safety answering center.
1:46:07
Yeah.
1:46:08
So as we talk about before I give it to the deputy judgment and budget to go through the specific projects, one of the things that just like to point out since we're talking about capital, a lot of the constraints that we have around capital isn't a city constraint.
1:46:22
It's a ceiling of deep debt capacity constraint.
1:46:25
And regarding the debt capacity, I'd gladly defer to my colleagues at OMB to talk about the reasons why and our limitations are on that front.
1:46:33
But in terms of the program, I'm glad to get to deputy commissioner Primatene.
1:47:19
it?
1:47:21
Debt capacity.
1:47:49
of the effort that we're doing to renegotiate a lot of the contracts, especially in the Capital 1, We're trying the best that we can to pacify any new needs that we have that are coming through reclaiming some of that savings money and repurposing it in that direction.

So we're looking at mostly security upgrade at PSAC 1, the budget is 4,700,000, and this project is currently ongoing, and I would have to get back to you on the actual projection end date.
1:47:00
But it covers basically replacing barriers, installing guard boots, all perimeter type external work for PSAC 1.
1:47:11
Right.
1:47:15
No.
1:47:15
At at this time I mean,
1:47:27
Right.
1:47:27
This is pretty pretty recent.
1:47:29
So we we was able to revise our budgets at the time.
1:47:33
So this this this money is set aside for what we project for PSAC 1.
1:47:37
And then for PSAC 2, similar external work has to be done for safety.
1:47:45
Barriers at 1,600,000.
1:47:48
