Council Member Chris Banks seeks clarification on the current status of contracts between NYCHA and Allied Universal or its parent company, FJC Security. Shin Kim from NYCHA provides the following information:
- Allied Universal stopped providing services to NYCHA as of March 2024
- FJC Security, which was initially contracted by NYCHA, was bought out by Allied
- Both Allied and FJC have ceased providing services to NYCHA as of March 2024
• There was some initial confusion in the response, which was later clarified • The question aimed to ensure that neither company was still under contract with NYCHA in any capacity
