So the vehicle pursuit policy, in short, was changed in, for example, a few ways.

The first is that violation in nonviolent misdemeanor cannot be the basis for a pursuit.

Number two, officers have the discretion to call off a pursuit if they don't think it is safe or the roads are too slick or there's too much traffic or there's kids out.
