Please begin with the first question again.
Gale A. Brewer
0:52:09
Sure.
0:52:10
When is it appropriate to grant the hardship?
Erasmus Ikpemgbe
0:52:13
Deemed appropriate to grant a hardship.
0:52:16
Again, I'm new to this process and I'm looking forward to working on the commission and to be able to better field these types of questions.
0:52:27
But to my understanding, hardship is something that's not normally case in the landmarks department, but I am looking forward to working with more types of this in the future.
Gale A. Brewer
0:52:39
Okay.
0:52:40
And demolition by neglect, do you have some sense of how you feel about that or how you would address it?
Erasmus Ikpemgbe
0:52:45
Again, as stated by, mister Wilder as well, I do understand the term itself, as an architect, but under the purview of landmarks and how that is utilized, I would need more experience to do so.
Gale A. Brewer
0:53:01
Okay.
0:53:02
How and then department of buildings at LPC, what can they do to permit necessary restoration without the owner signing off?
0:53:10
In other words, you have a building falling apart and the owner doesn't wanna do anything.
0:53:14
Would you want the, tenant sort of to sign off?
Erasmus Ikpemgbe
0:53:20
I understand the importance of wanting to, perverse preserve structures and also knowing that that is the the charge of the commission itself.
0:53:31
But my knowledge in that is limited.
0:53:33
Just based as an architect, I know we always look for the the signature of the owner more or less to move projects forward, but I'm not sure how that applies and I would need to do some more research and have more understanding about the process.
Gale A. Brewer
0:53:50
Go ahead.
0:53:51
Yep.
