Until late September?
0:44:19
Summer, I'm sorry.
0:44:20
Okay.
0:44:20
I have a hard time hearing in here.
0:44:21
Okay.
0:44:22
Wonderful.
0:44:23
Can I ask, do you have data for how many in Big Apple Connect, of the people subscribed, how many people are paying for additional services?
0:44:32
Or to your knowledge it's
Brett Sikoff
0:44:34
So we don't have data on that?
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:44:36
You don't have data.
Brett Sikoff
0:44:37
We just anecdotally from speaking to residents, many of them take advantage of the free offerings which severely, significantly reduced their cable bill.
0:44:47
So they do take part in the premium services, premium channels and things like that.
0:44:52
But that we don't have insight.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:44:54
Okay.
0:44:55
Are you not is it not I guess I'm just wondering like why does the data exist because the data does not exist because you don't have it or you're not necessarily asking the providers to share that information?
Brett Sikoff
0:45:11
Yeah.
0:45:11
That's not information that they would normally share and we did not ask them to share that as part of this program.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:45:17
Okay.
0:45:18
I feel like it's I don't know.
0:45:22
I feel like it's important considering that it's two of, like, the larger providers for them to share with you all, with the city, kind of how this specific contract is also benefiting them outside of the the contract.
0:45:38
I don't know what the packages are.
0:45:39
I don't I don't subscribe to either Internet service provider, but I don't know.
0:45:43
I would feel like it's important for for you for the city to have a good sense of how this program is also leading to, like, you know, just more revenue for these providers outside of like outside of the scope of what you're asking them.
0:45:58
Right?
0:45:58
Like upselling resident.
0:46:01
You don't have the data but I just feel like it's an important ask to make of that provider.
Brett Sikoff
0:46:05
Yeah.
0:46:05
Mean we could we could take a look at that to see if that's that's useful or relevant in terms of analyzing the impact that the program is having both on the public and and for the providers.
0:46:15
What I would say is ultimately it's it's the customer's choice, right?
0:46:19
If if they're subscribing to HBO, if they're the provider, that's that's their choice.
0:46:23
They're not being forced to take it, forced to pay for it.
0:46:25
So it's
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:46:26
Right.
0:46:26
I know.
0:46:27
A %.
0:46:27
I'm just I think the I don't I'm I'm not trying to say that it's like a misuse, but like they Spectrum, for example, the fact that they're in NYCHA providing this service where maybe they weren't before is because of the contract, because of Big Apple Connect.
0:46:43
It's a it's a pathway that the city has provided for them.
0:46:46
And in the instance where they're upselling to tenants, I think that that is an opportunity that doesn't exist for any other provider in that instance.
0:46:53
And so I think it's important to capture that information.
0:46:56
It's something that we are it's a pathway that we're a business pathway that we're creating for them that didn't exist before and that we're not providing to anybody else.
Brett Sikoff
0:47:03
Yeah.
0:47:03
It's a fair question.
0:47:04
We can take a look to see if that's helpful.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:47:06
Thank you.
