Council Member Althea Stevens questions Deputy Commissioner Valerie Mulligan about the evaluations and metrics used for the CRED program. Mulligan explains the current enrollment numbers and outlines the data tracking system implemented to measure program success.
- DYCD has enrolled 317 participants across eight CRED programs
- Key metrics include credential attainment, paid internships, and job placements
- Stevens suggests sharing this tracking method with the Department of Probation (DOP)

What type of evaluations or metrics will you be using to evaluate cred moving forward?
Valerie Mulligan
4:33:06
Sure, so of course first and foremost we're looking at enrollment which is the phase of the program that we're in right now.
4:33:12
We have three seventeen enrolled to date across the eight programs, But in addition to that we're looking very specifically, we've built out a whole data system to make sure that we can track data in creds.
4:33:24
So we're going to be looking at how many of the participants gain credentials in the sectors that they're being trained at, how many get internships that are paid, and then of course how many are placed in jobs once they exit the program.

Looks like you guys have some metrics, so maybe you can share how you're tracking the information with DOP so that they can then do the same thing because that seems pretty simple enough.

At this time that is all the questions that I have.
