Council Member Althea Stevens questions DYCD officials about the decision to make DYCD the primary contract holder for a swim program, previously partnered with the Department of Health. The discussion covers the rationale behind the change, other involved providers, and DYCD's staffing for managing the program.
- DYCD took over primary management due to their extensive involvement in coordinating providers and scheduling.
- Other providers involved include the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and the Department of Education (DOE).
- DYCD officials assert they have adequate staff to support the program, utilizing their strategic partnerships and youth operations teams.

Do you have enough staff to manage this contract and, like, what is your responsibilities around it?
Darryl Rattray
