As commissioner of the Department of Consumer Affairs, she's helped launch the n NYC Kids Rise partnership with the Gray Foundation seeking college saving accounts for more than 280,000 public school children and investing in over 50,000,000 in their futures.

Julie has partnered with Asphalt Green to launch Wavemakers providing two thousand second graders with free swim lessons in their own neighborhoods, improving safety, health, and access for families, for the city.

She has also led the groundbreaking partnership with the Museum of Jewish Heritage, bringing 85,000 public and charter school students into the Holocaust education to confront antisemitism and learn the consequences of hate.
