Thank you majority leader.
1:27:08
I'd like to start saying thank you to speaker Adams for honoring Alexis Martinez today in your opening remarks.
1:27:14
I'm deeply saddened that we have lost a dedicated NYPD officer and a neighbor of my district due to a violent domestic dispute.
1:27:22
Alexis Rodriguez was only Martinez was only 26 years old when he left us far too soon.
1:27:29
My office and the Sunview community will continue to grieve this enormous loss.
1:27:33
I send my sincerest condolences, family, his friends, his colleagues during this heartbreaking time.

The first bill I'd like to bring to all of your attention is Reso seven twenty eight, which calls on our partners in the state to create a linkage fee for large scale residential or commercial projects and a trust that would receive this fee to fund job training, education, and employment programs to support the surrounding communities these projects takes place take place in.
1:28:00
Linkage fees are charged by the local government on real estate developments with the purpose of generating local funding to address the important workforce aspects of these projects such as job training programs.
1:28:12
This resolution advocates for all residential or commercial construction that exceeds a hundred thousand square feet in a community to be charged with a linkage fee to offset the impact projects of this size can have on a community.
1:28:25
Secondly, I'm introducing intro eleven thirty nine which will allow rideshare drivers to opt in to place ads in the interior of their cars and allow them to maintain a passive income alongside their work as a driver.
1:28:38
This bill puts drivers first and gives them the opportunity to put more money in the back of their own pockets by making a percentage of revenue from the advertisements in their car.
1:28:47
This is especially timely with more fees incoming to our drivers from the outer borough communities like mine because of congestion pricing.
1:28:55
I hope you'll all join me in safe guarding our drivers from additional fees and allow them to bring in more revenue each month by signing on to intro 11:39.
1:29:03
Thank you.
