I'm Greg Smith Simon, and I represent the rise to resilience coalition, a campaign of more than a 100 groups working on climate resilience policies.

The coalition has asked me to make use of this hearing on citizen reporting and the environment to raise the issue of resident reporting, of flooding, especially that caused by rainstorms.

Because residents frequently use 311 311 to report flooding from storms, we see several opportunity to streamline reporting to collect more consistent data on flooding in the city and to refer residents to appropriate resources to address flooding.
