Council Member Aviles inquires about the frequency and nature of inter-agency task force meetings mandated by Local Law 186 of 2017. MOIA representatives provide details on recent meetings and participation.
- Since March 2024, the task force has met 6 times
- Meetings are now held monthly, more frequently than the mandated quarterly meetings
- All required agencies are attending the meetings
- MOIA has opened participation to all agencies, beyond those mandated
- There is constant collaboration and discussion between the wider task force meetings

And I and I would add, this is something that Rebecca also takes a lead.

Rebecca has, quite wide experience working on these issues, including, issues on, to do with our sanctuary policies, both in the nonprofit and, government space.

You know, many of them come from the nonprofit and advocacy world as well, and so they can weigh in on how we engage with our interagency task force, to do this work.

We don't have the full number of these last 3 years, but we have the numbers since March of 2024, which is when, Rebecca started our office.

Since March 2024, we've met 1, 2, 3, 6 times, and we are now, meeting monthly.

And that's sort of a habit that we got into at at the, end of the last year given some of the changes that we're predicting were forthcoming.

By by mandate, we, we are supposed to meet quarterly, and there is a list of, mandated agencies.
