Hi.
3:42:14
My name is, Michael Streeter.
3:42:16
I am, I'm part of the New York Clean Air Collective.
3:42:19
I I care a lot about, air quality, I I want to thank, council member, Aviles for introducing intro one zero seven.
3:42:28
I'm in awe of some of the the testimony we've heard today.
3:42:31
I'm in I'm in Red Hook all the time.
3:42:33
I live nearby, and and the situation by the delivery warehouses on the proximity of schools is is pretty dire.
3:42:42
You you know, you've got Basis Independent, right at Columbia And Bay right by the the Amazon fulfillment center, and the school has a a great rooftop playground.
3:42:53
One of my friends, friend's daughters goes there, and and it's a great a great school and great playground, but it's right there, you know, in the open air by tons of vehicles driving in and out.
3:43:03
As of last holiday season, you have a new type of fleet of, of delivery vans there, and they they have, they have rooftop reefers.
3:43:14
So on a van, so they're they're exempt from idling laws.
3:43:18
So they just they just sit there, idling much of the day.
3:43:22
They they know that they have the the golden ticket on top of their roof, so they they leave it running and and no, empowered citizen can can do anything.
3:43:31
So every every season, it's something new with Amazon, and we we need to better understand the impact of the the underregulated last mile facilities where, you know, and not be playing catch up all the time.
3:43:46
So intro one zero seven is really important.
3:43:49
That said, I highly encourage further workshopping of intro 11:30 as some others have suggested, due to the issues previously mentioned with the Adams administration's history of rulemaking, and executive authority.
3:44:07
So a strong support for intro one zero seven and and respectful but appreciative request to to to work more on intro, 11:30.
3:44:17
I think it's well intentioned, but I I I I think it's too much of giveaway.
3:44:21
So thank you so much to chair Gennaro and, council member, Abiles.
3:44:26
Have a great weekend.
