Judy Chase, a lifelong Queens resident and Mets fan, expresses strong support for the Queen's Future/Metropolitan Park proposal. She emphasizes the potential for the development to create an attractive destination around Citi Field, similar to other cities where stadiums are integrated into vibrant urban areas.
- Chase highlights her background in youth sports and her connection to Queens, lending credibility to her perspective on local development.
- She argues that the proposed green spaces and amenities would be a significant improvement over the current concrete landscape.
- While acknowledging that no project is perfect, Chase views the proposal as a "no-brainer" for enhancing the area around Citi Field.

Hello everybody.
1:30:06
Well, first of all I'm nervous, I wasn't expecting to speak in front of everybody.
1:30:10
I'm also a lifelong Queens resident, was born in Forest Hills and I've moved all the way to Regal Park.
1:30:18
Attended school and college all in Queens and that's my son, he is as well.
1:30:22
My three biggest passions in life are baseball and I am involved in youth sports.
1:30:29
I own a batting cage in Queens.
1:30:30
I also run travel baseball teams and work at a parks facility in Canarsie, Brooklyn.
1:30:39
I'm also a lifelong Mets fan.
1:30:41
Let's go Mets.
1:30:44
Food and music are my other passion.
1:30:47
So anytime we go traveling because of our baseball teams or whatever we're doing, we're always seeking out restaurants, casinos, to be honest with you, and obviously, baseball fields.
1:31:00
And I think Costa said that going to other cities, the cities that we enjoy the most is when the baseball stadium is in the heart of the city with everything surrounding it.
1:31:10
I know other cities are planning on doing this, but looking at the presentation that they have here for Metropolitan Park, it it's awesome.
1:31:18
And and I'm not gonna get into all the other things that people talking about flood zones.
1:31:22
I know nothing about that.
1:31:23
I just know that the only time I'm ever in that area now is to either go to a Met Game or go to the New World Mall that's up the block on Roosevelt Avenue.
1:31:33
It's a perfect place for people to spend time, greenery, flowers, trees, not concrete.
1:31:39
I don't understand how you would choose concrete over what's being presented here.
1:31:44
Nothing is perfect.
1:31:45
Everyone there's always gonna be issues with whatever we do, but I think this is a no brainer.
1:31:51
Let's go, Mets.
