Council Member Oswald Feliz inquires about whether a one-time grant would resolve concerns or if there would be ongoing operational costs. Dirk McCall de Paloma responds to this question.

  • One-time grants would be very helpful for smaller BIDs
  • Suggests implementing grants through SBS or Department of Sanitation
  • Highlights that siting issues would still need to be addressed even with grants

Okay.
2:06:58
And I guess a question for you, Dirk.

Do you think a one time grant would fully resolve the concerns, or do you think there'll be additional operational costs that are going to have to be dealt with every We

really experienced it yet.
2:07:12
So I'm approaching trying to fund these containers through about four different sources, trying to figure I'm hoping that at least one of the sources comes through and I'm able to make the purchase, but then I have to do the siting.
2:07:25
A one time thing would be really, really, really helpful.
2:07:28
And if they put that through SBS or they put that through Department of Sanitation, that would really solve a lot of the problems for the smaller bids.
2:07:34
But it's still you have to deal with the siting because if you don't you have the containers.
2:07:40
If you don't get the DOT to help you with the siting, that's a challenge.
